fair is fair

The fair has arrived which signals the end of summer.  It means children going back to school is just around the corner.  It means that I can go and ride a ferris wheel at any time during the next four days.  It means that some moms are having their babies go off to college.  But what is fair is fair, we do the best we can and then maybe as they are leaving the house for their own adventure we all begin to reflect on what has happened.  I know I will do my best so that some day when the youngest member of our trio is ready to leave the nest I can say I was present and aware as good as I could have been.  Maybe that will make things easier.
