gathering gatherers

There were a few of us at the Sam's Club this morning.  Our missions were clear.....gather for the family.  I had the luxury of dropping youngest member off at gram grams so I was a sole gatherer.  The other two had at least 2 children in tow.  I had done some gathering yesterday so I only needed one thing and left with two,  I did pretty well.   Gathering is a art that I am not sure I am even close to mastering, I spend too much money, buy stuff that I only think I need and did I mention I spend too much.....I am going to be thinking more about this role and how I can get better at it.   Oh the simpliciities of the brush.

holiday hangover

The holidays were totally rad this year.  I hosted my first thanksgiving with the help of my family....had a lovely christmas eve catered dinner, and had a successful first birthday party in late January.  Soon it will be Valentines Day and then in March this blogger has a birthday.  As much as I love all of this I seem to be suffering from a hangover....correction my house is suffering a hangover.   If headaches looked like a babies toys then this would be one massive pounder.  Luckily there is a lot of love in this house and a little messiness means we are doing something right!

It is the week before christmas and all through the house everyone is stirring except a mouse, the two felines make sure of it.  I had my traditional holiday break down today.....but its all better now.   The trio is gonna have a wonderful week, ending with a catered christmas eve meal and treats that I will be making this week.  There is a thin layer of snow on the ground, youngest member has sugar plums dancing in her head and I am getting ready to settle down.

It was finally a perfect fall friday night.  I could see my breath and taking a deep one in felt so refreshing.  I enjoy being refreshed.

get the lead out

Its friday which means soon a new week will start.  This is awesome because Monday through Thursday at 2 pm I was a lazy bone.  But things have a way of working out, a grand lady and my better half came to my rescue with words of encouragement.  And yesterday way back in the yard was a little something with a monkey on top, it survived a really cold winter and a super hot summer and with a little water became youngest members brand new toy. She squealed at the monkey for hours and used the price fisher to hold herself up while she stood, now thats getting the lead out.

The best toy ever right now,  yuuup it's the tv remote she is studying it right now like there is no tomorrow and there is a grey cat trying to get in on the action, I hope since grey cat has her tail in youngest members face that she pulls it really hard.  

I am so glad that everything interests her for at least 5 minutes, even dumb things like lint provoke such curiosity with this kid, I am thankful for this because I have nothing to offer her today.  Sure I sit on the ground holding her as she stands up, I take her with me outside and we play.  Plus we took the dumpster to the curb!  Now she is wanting me so I will go to her, Im relieved she doesnt know that I am tired, tired out of my mind and I don't know how to fix the tv channel.
